Founded in 1971 by Keith Hutchinson, a visionary in precision machining.

At Lancaster Machine Shop, we blend the art of precision machining with cutting-edge technology to deliver outstanding results.  Our journey began in 1971, when Keith Hutchinson, armed with a drill press, a lathe, and a relentless drive for excellence, opened our doors.  Starting in a modest workshop in Lancaster, Texas, Keith's passion for precision and quality quickly turned Lancaster Machine Shop into a name synonymous with excellence in the aviation, aeronautics, and manufacturing industries. 

Lancaster Machine Shop has evolved significantly since its inception.  With over 53 years of dedicated service, we have expanded our capabilities to include advanced CHNC, CNC, CAD, CAM, and Solid Modeling software.  This technological leap enables us to support engineering teams from the prototyping stage to full-scale production, ensuring that every part we machine meets the highest standards of precision and quality. 

Our shop is a testament to our commitment to quality. Featuring machinery from renowned brands like HAAS, Mori Seiki, and Hardinge, and utilizing top-tier software such as Mastercam, Solidworks, and Ideagen Quality Control Essentials, we are equipped to tackle projects of any complexity and scale. 

Keith Hutchinson, our founder, is not just a machinist; he's a pioneer in the field. Raised in Denison, Iowa, amidst black Angus cattle and endless fields of corn and soybeans, Keith's journey is one of determination and passion.  His tenure in the Marines, guiding pilots to safety, and his subsequent experience at Texas Instruments honed his distinct eye for detail.  A licensed pilot and a member of the National Tooling and Machining Association, Keith brings a unique perspective to precision machining.  His insights are invaluable to engineering teams, helping them refine their designs and perfect their prototypes.
